Apple and Cinnamon Doughnuts

So easy to make, even the kids can whip up a batch of these light and fluffy doughnuts! Dairy free, gluten free and refined sugar free.

Ingredients
Doughnuts
 1/4 cup maple syrup
 1/2 cup almond milk
 1/4 cup coconut oil, melted (save some to grease the doughnut pan)
 1 tsp vanilla essence
 2 eggs
 1 cup almond meal
 1/2 cup buckwheat flour
 1 tsp baking soda
 1/2 cupapple sauce or stewed apple
Sugar Coating
 2 tbsp coconut oil, melted

Preheat oven to 180 degrees celsius.

In a bowl, whisk all of the wet ingredients together.

Gradually add in the dry ingredients for the doughnuts while stirring. Mix well.

Pour the mixture into a doughnut pan.

Bake for approximately 20 minutes. Set aside to cool.

When the doughnuts have cooled slightly, remove from the pan and place on a wire rack.

Brush a light coat of melted coconut oil onto each and coat with the sugar mixture.
